Shiraz

Shiraz is the name used in, for example, Australia, South Africa and Chile for the grape "Syrah" from the northern part of the Rhône valley. The great classic wines from Côte-Rôtie och Hermitage are made from this grape. The French wines are more associated with their geographical names than the grape name, so the grape is globally most known under the name Shiraz.

This is one of the great grapes and the best wines can be stored and aged over many decades.
