Sauvignon blanc

Initially a French grape that together with Sémillon produces the great white bordeauxs, both dry and sweet, and white Loire wines like Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.

The grape has become immensely popular all over the world, mostly thanks to its increased popularity in New Zealand, South Africa and California.

The Sauvignon Blanc grape often produces aromatic wines with hints of grass, gooseberry and green bell pepper.
